Strategic Plan to Improve School Infrastructure and Learning Conditions

To address the poor infrastructure and challenging conditions facing many schools, Jesus Promotion Church International (JPCI) has developed a strategic plan composed of five major components, one of which focuses specifically on improving school infrastructure and learning environments.

1. Improvement of School Infrastructure

Jesus Promotion Church International envisions that all its schools will be constructed with durable and safe materials, including:

  • Fired brick walls
  • Tin (metal) roofs
  • Cement floors
  • Proper sanitation facilities, including septic-connected latrines

These improvements are essential to create a safe, healthy, and dignified learning environment for students and staff.

2. Provision of School Furniture and Supplies

Another key priority is ensuring that all schools are equipped with adequate desks and learning materials

Providing desks, chairs, textbooks, and basic supplies will significantly improve students’ ability to learn and teachers’ ability to teach effectively.

3. Transportation for School Supervision

Effective supervision is critical to maintaining quality education. However, many school supervisors currently face extreme challenges in reaching the schools under their responsibility.

  • Some supervisors must travel up to 150 miles on foot to visit assigned schools.
  • This severely limits the frequency and effectiveness of supervision.

Jesus Promotion Church International has concluded that providing motorcycles to supervisors will allow them to visit schools more frequently, monitor progress, support staff, and ensure accountability without unnecessary hardship.

4. Teacher and Principal Support and Training

Another major priority is to provide adequate support for teachers and school principals. Jesus Promotion Church International has identified that many teachers are underqualified, largely due to limited access to formal training.

To address this challenge, the organization plans to:

  • Provide professional training programs for current teachers
  • Identify and train qualified students to become future teachers
  • Recruit or hire qualified instructors to train and mentor educators

Strengthening teacher capacity is essential to improving the overall quality of education.
